Treasurers Report – Marius Gavrila
- We have approximately 15,600 in checking and 30,000 emergency funds
- Action Items: zero out small sums that continue to be carried over year to year and send out invoices for membership dues
- Marius detailed our expenses for 2014 which amounted to around 21,000
- We save between $5,000 – $6,000 from the association dues and save it to cover emergency expenses
- Of the two past due notices issued to homeowners, one homeowner has begun to pay off their balances and one has had a new lien on the home.
- Three capital projects for the new year: evergreen plantings, sign replacement, and Phoslock treatments.
- The new homeowners dues for the 2015 calendar year will not increase
Maintenance / Landscaping Committee Report – Jim Sweeney and Eric Lundry
- We added 8 evergreens – this has been a work in progress
- Bids for tree removal have been secured – 8 trees need to be removed and the Board would like to spread the removal over the next two years to limit the financial burden
- The lights along the East Entrance have had to be replaced and/or broken many times. This past winter all of the east entrance lights went out at the same time. We are investigating the reason why all of the lights would go out at the same time. An electrician will be heading out in the spring to assess the damage.
- Bids for all of services are currently being taken.
- There was a discussion that Aquatic bid has been received with no annual increase. We will be engaging their services again this year to finish the three year treatment of the lake.
- It has been noticed that quite a bit of road aggregate has been chipped from the road and is now piled on the north side of Adams Road.
Social Committee Report – Carole Pascarella and Deni Worthen
- The committee recapped the events in the neighborhood from 2014: the Easter egg hunt, a garage sale, a 4th of July parade, and evergreen wreaths to celebrate the holidays.
- The empty lot that used to house our Easter egg hunt now has a house. We need to find a new home for the event. This year’s event will Saturday, March 28th.
- Garage sale date for this weekend is May 7th to May 9th, Thurs. and Fri. 8–3, Sat. 8-12
- The committee encouraged all residents to participate in our events.
Communications / Publicity Committee – Dave Riley and Laura Baker
We will be sending out our quarterly newsletter via email. Event notifications will continue to be mailed.
We are going to create a pdf of our directory information and send out the link to the information.
Architectural Control / Committee Report – Carole Pascarella and Kevin Cullen
Many requests for fences have been submitted and all have been approved.
Covenants Committee – Deni Worthen and Kevin Cullen
The post light program was a great success. There seems to be approximately 4 neighbors who will NOT change their outdoor lights. The post light volunteers will make one more sweep in early spring and then we will send a strongly worded letter to each of the residents.
There is no wording in the covenants that requires homeowners to maintain their lots. The board would like to require homeowners who do not maintain their lot to pay for services necessary to maintain the lot. It was discussed how we could go about amending our covenants.
Open for additional comments
A homeowner commented that we have many cars speeding through our subdivision.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:45 pm.
