Devonshire Point Homeowner’s Association Quarterly Meeting Minutes – April 16, 2018

The Quarterly board meeting convened on April 16, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at the Old National Bank located at Heritage Square.  Board members Erik Lundry, Heinz Mantel, David Riley, Jim Sweeney, Carole Pascarella, Kevin Cullen, Lauren Plennert, Marius Gavrila and Ginee Ames were present.

  1. Treasurer’s Report
    1. Total Assets $106,317.82
    2. We have spent about $12,000 already this year. Having the 30 trees (on Adams) removed, stumps ground and then the 30 replaced has been a big expense.
    3. All but 4 lots have paid their dues. Letter will go out to those.
    4. We won’t be seeing any money from the Miller home on Stonebridge that sold at sheriff’s auction in October.
  2. Maintenance and Landscaping
    1. Our landscaping quote is the same as last year, despite it being more work.
    2. The new tree work is underway. The new 5-6’ trees will be more hearty for this area.  More drought and disease resistant. Waiting for better weather for the planting.
    3. Discussed sprinklers. If we were to go to the expense of the sprinklers, we take a risk that the county could destroy it again.
  1. Social
    1. The Easter Egg Hunt was very cold but still had about 41 people. Roughly 500 eggs were stuffed.  Prizes were given to kids with the most eggs.
    2. The Spring Garage Sale will be May 31 – June 2.
    3. We will look into to see when Covington is having their Fall Garage Sale and try to piggy back from their signage and traffic.
    4. The 4th of July is a Wednesday in 2018.
  1. Communications/Publicity
    1. Ginée will send out post card notices for the garage sale and 4th of July parade

    4. Lauren reported that we have 83 members on Facebook. 78 are active. That number has increased.

    1. Continuing to work on shed guidelines. A sub-committee has been formed to work on a draft prior to attorney review.
