Devonshire Pointe Homeowners Association Quarterly Board Meeting Minutes – 10/14/2024

Treasurer’s Report – Scot Armour

  1. Reviewed Treasurer’s Report
  2. Business Entity state forms to be completed by due date
  3. 2024 Dues
    • 2 homes still owe dues
      • Unpaid 2024 late fees will be rolled forward to 2025 invoices
  4. 2025 Dues
    • No increase for 2025 ($250 for non-lake lots, $400 for lake lots)
  5. Six home sales thus far in 2024

Maintenance/Landscaping Committee Report – Jim Sweeney & Erik Lundry

  1. Discussion regarding mowing/trimming and fertilization service quality
  2. Sprinklers to get blown out 
  3. Discussed east entrance electrical repairs
  4. Discussion regarding lake treatment boat launch route
  5. Four trees will be planted to replace fallen trees
  6. Discussion regarding painting west entrance signs to match east entrance 

Social Committee Report – Ginee Ames, Leah Gerbeth, Lauren Plennert & Maggie Veldman

  1. Block Party was successful with approximately 50 people in attendance & included bounce house, yard games, Kona Ice and a sweet treat dessert cart.
  2. Veteran’s Day (Nov. 11) Banners to be put up by the week prior and will come down shortly after
    • Will ask residents which homes have veterans and we will place flags in their yards as a gesture of our appreciation for their service
  3. Turkey Trot – Thanksgiving day, 9:30am meet in Taddington Ct. 
  4. Holiday Lights Competition will continue this December
  5. Holiday entrance wreaths to be put up after Thanksgiving and taken down in January

Communications/Publicity Committee – Lauren Plennert & Leah Gerbeth

  1. We have 117 emails for residents
  2. Facebook group has 135 members

Architectural Control Committee Report – Carole Pascarella & Kevin Cullen

  1. Little Free Library bookhouse will install additional edging, stepping stones, and rocks to include bench 
  2. Fence request submitted and approved

Covenants Committee – Carole Pascarella & Kevin Cullen

  1. Reminder to continue to clean up beaches and keep storm drains clear
  2. Reminder there’s a county wide burn ban in effect (for burning leaves and debris)
  3. Good time to check that your post lights work as days are shorter
  4. No rentals of homes are allowed.

Open for additional comments or questions from the floor

  1. The Annual Resident HOA Meeting will be January 14, 2025 at 5:30pm at the Harris Library Branch – Meeting Room A.
    • Time was moved up due to new library hours starting in 2025. 
  2. The remaining HOA meetings will be 4/22, 7/14, and 10/13 at the Old National Bank at Heritage Square at 7pm.
