Devonshire Pointe Homeowner’s Association Quarterly Meeting Minutes – July 15, 2019

The Quarterly board meeting convened on July 15, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Old National Bank located at Heritage Square. Board members Erik Lundry, Heinz Mantel, David Riley, Jim Sweeney, Carole Pascarella, Ginée Ames, and Bob Kord were present.

  1. Treasurer’s Report-Bob Kord
    1. Reviewed Treasurer’s Report. Total Assets are $108,813.03.
    2. 7 homes sold: 5 closed in May 2019 and 1 in June and July.
    3. All dues have been paid as of May.
  2. Maintenance/Landscaping Committee Report –Jim Sweeney & Erik Lundry
    1. Landscaping entrances – trimming, weeding/spraying and mulching the entire frontage was done. Also the boulders were moved next to the lights to protect them from the plows. The entrance budget was set at 10-12k. The Ginger Valley bid was reworked from over $20,000 and came in at $11,500. Tree line maintenance was set at $1,000 and complete for $1,300. The rework of the entrances and islands will begin shortly. We are 1 job away. They had a long backlog due to a rainy spring and a hot summer.
  3. Social Committee Report -Carole Pascarella
    1. 4th of July recap – We had about 50 all total. The firetruck continues to be a big hit.
    2. Spring garage sale date will be moved to not interfere with Northpoint end of year activities.
    3. Fall garage sale dates haven’t been set. Ginée is working with adjoining neighborhoods. Target date is mid-September.
  4. Communications / Publicity Committee-David Riley & Ginee Ames
    1. Ginee- will send out post card notices for Fall Garage Sale accordingly.
    2. David – No change in the email address count.
    3. Lauren –reported in an email that we now have 94 on Facebook. That’s up from the last meeting.
    4. The sign in at the parade didn’t result in any new email addresses.
  5. Architectural Control Committee Report –Carole Pascarella
    1. No new requests as of 4/13
    2. With many new homeowners, ALL correspondence from Devonshire, whether Facebook, email or postcards, needs to remind all homeowners that requests for approvals need to be submitted prior to starting a project.
    3. A reminder that grass clippings need to be cleaned up from the street. If not, it can get into the lake, causing problems.
  6. Covenants Committee
    1. No new issues.
  7. Additional comments
    1. Operation Pull Over – Once again the association will pay for a squad car to patrol in an effort to slow down speeders. This will happen when the kids go back to school.
