Dear Neighbors,
It has been very touching to see so many of our residents reach out and ask how they can help the family who experienced such a devastating fire a few weeks ago. The Board has been in contact with the homeowners and wanted to provide an update and opportunity to help.
Regarding the cause of the fire, preliminary investigations indicate that it appears to have been electrical in nature. Luckily, no one was hurt; however, the house suffered significant damage.
The homeowners have asked that if any residents wish to help, to please do so by donating gift cards to local restaurants and grocery stores (e.g., Martin’s, Meijer, Wal-Mart, etc.). Additionally, it would be greatly appreciated if any of the surrounding neighbors would be willing to mow their yard once a week through the rest of the mowing season.
The HOA has volunteered to collect the gift card donations on behalf of the homeowners in order to ensure the homeowners receive all donations, as well as respect their time at their home as they deal with this loss.
